Our Story

Who We Are

We’re Liliia Hladunova (Zvolska) and Marharyta Sheremet — filmmakers and cultural producers, and both refugees rebuilding our lives and work in the UK.

Together, we founded Liminal POV Ltd. as a shared framework that brings together two distinct practices:

Liminal, led by Liliia — a curatorial platform that creates space for displaced artists and artists whose work engages with sensitive, difficult topics and brings their perspectives into dialogue with British society through encounters shaped by curiosity, empathy, and exchange.

POV, led by Marharyta — a community platform and production practice supporting underrepresented filmmakers and exploring ways to make film development and production more accessible, open, and inclusive within the industry.

After years of shaping projects, launching festivals, and supporting others within unfamiliar systems, we realised it was time to create something of our own — rooted in lived experience.

Our Approach

We work across art, culture, and community-building, developing projects that sit between artistic practice and social reality.
Our projects are designed to leave a lasting impact: stronger artist visibility, more meaningful community participation, and greater understanding between people whose experiences may otherwise remain distant.

We’re driven by lived experience — by what it means to build from scratch, cross borders, and turn displacement into connection.
